Miriam Moser, tenor oboe
Started her oboe studies with Hans Elhorst at the Conservatory in Bern to continue with Thomas Indermühle at the Conservatory in Zurich, where she obtained in 1989 her concert diploma. She completed her studies taking part to master classes given by Maurice Bourgue, Lothar Koch and Radu Kishu. Miriam Moser is prize winner of several music competitions, acquired extensive experience in orchestras such as the Zurich Opera Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, under the guidance of conductors like Nello Santi, Kurt Sanderling and Nikolaus Harnoncourt to mention a few. Chamber music is today at the heart of Miriam Moser’s wide-ranging artistic activities. In collaboration with the instrument manufacturers Gérard Fossati and Rainer Egger, the musicians of Aulos Quartet have accomplished a decisive breakthrough allowing the further development of the tenor oboe played by Miriam Moser.
